Routine changes are included on every tier from Light up: dates, hours, wording, photos, menu items, new pages of the kind you already have. Nothing to install, no logins, no dashboard. Text "undo that" and it's gone. Upgrading is a text; this month's top-ups are credited to the new tier.

What "a site built for you" means.
Before: a template, filled in by text
A template site, filled in by text. A bespoke build is a Standard job. You pick the closest of the six kinds of site, Patch fills it with your details — what you do, your hours, your phone, the photos you text him — and it's live that day. Every change after that is a text. It's a real site on real hosting; it just starts from our shape rather than yours.
After: a site built for you
A site built for you. The first month's allowance is the build. If you already have one, Patch reads it — your words, your photos, the pages you have — and rebuilds it as a site he can change by text, page for page. You get a link to the new one and your old site stays exactly as it is until you say move it. If you don't have one, the build starts from what you tell him.
Then it's the same as every plan: you text, he changes it, he loads the live page to check, and you get "Patched." Support is on call while the build happens, and Patch can bring in the bigger model when a change needs it.
Either way the repository is yours and leaves with you. A full redesign of a built site, or a feature that needs an account or money, is quoted separately as a project.

Every version stays in its history, and your workspace is in the nightly backup. No texting changes — a plan up for that. A text to Patch gets one line back naming your plan and how to upgrade.
- Light and Starter. A template site, filled in by text. A bespoke build is a Standard job. The everyday model. When a change needs the bigger one, Patch says so — that's a Standard job.
- Standard and up. A site built for you. The first month's allowance is the build. Patch picks the model the job needs, including the biggest one. Elite: up to three built sites: a second brand, a second location, an event. Elite+: ten built sites, and the best rate on usage.
- Standing instructions are a job Patch runs on its own, like "every Monday, post the specials". No standing instructions on Hosting or Light; those start on Starter.

What does a plan include?
Hosting for your site on every plan. From Light up, Patch on call (support on call from Standard up), and the tier's usage every month, more in your first month: $200 a month on Standard, $600 the first. Routine changes are included: dates, hours, wording, photos, menu items, new pages of the kind you already have. A full redesign or a big new feature (a store, a booking system, a members area) is quoted separately as a project.
What counts as usage?
Usage is measured in dollars, not messages. It's what the AI actually consumed doing your changes: a small change costs cents of it, a big one costs more, and most sites use a fraction of their allowance once they're settled. Each tier has its own rate, and the higher the tier, the further a dollar goes. It's the same number Patch shows you when you ask "how much have I used this month?"
What happens when I run low?
Patch tells you in the thread and offers a top-up ($50 on Standard) or the next tier up, with this month's top-ups credited. Nothing is added unless you say yes. Your website stays up either way. Unused allowance doesn't roll over; usage you buy doesn't expire.
Where is the record of what I used?
Every message and every generated photo is one line on a usage ledger with what it cost. That ledger is the record; ask to see yours any time, and if you think an entry is wrong, say so within 30 days and we review it against the log of what Patch did. The usage terms set out the whole of it.
Is there a setup fee, or a minimum?
No setup fee on any plan — the first month's bigger allowance is where the build happens. Hosting, Light and Starter have no minimum, because there's no build. Standard and above have a 3-month minimum so a site doesn't get built for one month's fee and walk — waived for founding clients: start on or before December 31, 2026 and there's no minimum on any plan.
What are Hosting and Light?
Hosting ($10 a month) keeps a site we already serve up on your domain, forms and sign-ups still working, but nothing changes by text; a text gets one line back naming your plan and how to upgrade. It's where a site goes when it's done changing. Light ($50 a month) is Starter's rate with a smaller allowance, $40 a month, one person texting and no standing instructions: for a menu or a price list that changes now and then.
What's the difference between Starter and Standard?
Starter is a template site you fill in by text, changed by the everyday model, one person texting. Standard is a site built for you in the first month, support on call, three people texting, and Patch can bring in the bigger model when a change needs it. If you start on Starter and ask for something that needs the bigger model, Patch says so plainly; upgrading is a text.
Can I have more than one site?
On Standard and above, yes: each extra site is a monthly line on your plan ($75 on Standard, less on Elite and Elite+, which include several). Hosting, Light and Starter are one site each; a second business is a second plan.
Refunds?
In your first month, yes, by formula: what you paid, less Stripe's processing fee (Stripe keeps it on any refund), less the usage on your ledger at your tier's rate. Text Patch "cancel" and it shows you the number first. After the first month the plan is billed in advance and a partial month isn't refunded; cancel takes effect at the next billing date. Usage you buy doesn't expire and isn't refunded once the engagement ends. If you think a usage entry is wrong, say so within 30 days and we review it against the log of what Patch did.
How do I upgrade?
Use Upgrade on your account page, or text UPGRADE to Patch. You get a quote — the next tier, what's due today for the rest of this period (prorated), and any unused top-ups credited — and reply YES. It's on within the minute: the bigger allowance, the bigger model, more people texting. Moving from Starter to Standard brings Standard's build month with it. Moving down a plan, Hosting included, is Change plan on the same page and takes effect at renewal. Cancelling offers Hosting first, so the site can stay up.
What happens when I leave?
Your site's repository is transferred to a GitHub account you control, with instructions for keeping the site and domain up, and your numbers are removed from the service. The ability to change the site by text ends with the service; the site doesn't.
