What the program is

Patchlamp is a service for business owners who change their own website or restaurant menu by text message. A client and the people they authorize text a Patchlamp phone number with a request ("add Friday's show", "mark the burger sold out", a photo with "put this on the menu"). The service makes the change and replies with what changed. That's the only kind of message it sends: replies to your requests, plus occasional service notices such as a usage or limit notice.

How you opt in

You get your number when your account is set up, after you've paid or been added by a client. The first message you send to it is your opt-in. We don't send marketing texts, and we don't text anyone who hasn't messaged us first or been authorized by a client who has.

Message frequency

Varies with how often you send requests. One reply per request, sometimes a short acknowledgement first, plus service notices as needed.

Rates

Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile plan. Patchlamp itself doesn't charge per text; the plan prices are on the pricing page.

STOP and HELP

• Reply STOP to stop receiving texts from the service number. You'll get one confirmation and nothing more. The service can then no longer reply to you; text START to turn it back on.

Privacy

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See the privacy policy for what is collected and who processes it, and the terms for the rules of the service.

Carriers

Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
